Chillicothe Farmers Market
For more than 25 years, shoppers at the Chillicothe Farmers Market have found local produce, plants, baked goods, and even craft items. Open May through October, rain or shine, the market also features live music, guided mural tours and outdoor grilling.
Lion’s Club Cruise Night
Take a step back in time as classic cars roar through downtown Chillicothe and music from the 50s and 60s plays in the air. This late July event is a tradition of summer. The cruise begins and ends at the south side of the square.
Boofest
More treats, less tricks! This Halloween event lets kids dress up and safely gather goodies in downtown Chillicothe. This annual event is a big hit, gathering as many as 1500 little monsters! Boofest would not be possible without resounding support from local merchants, volunteers and emergency services.

With our annual Christmas on the Square event, the lighting of the Historic Courthouse Square and lots of activities for the kids, we have something to ignite the holiday spirit in everyone. Come downtown for an iconic holiday celebration – and the chance to get everything on your shopping list.
Wine Walk and Concert
Main Street Chillicothe is bringing downtown to life with great nightlife in May and October. Visit downtown merchants and sample local, Missouri wines for $20. Stick around for a line up of amazing and unique bands eat Silver Moon Plaza. Bring your lawn chairs and the whole family for this free summer outdoor concert series all in beautiful downtown Chillicothe.
Sliced Bread Day
Sliced Bread Day celebrates Chillicothe's heritage and history while providing a fun, festive day of activities for families. Local organizations team together to bring activities such as the Farmers Market, downtown parade, bread baking contest, activities at the Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery, and topped off with fireworks in Simpson Park at dusk. This event occurs the Saturday after the 4th of July.
