It passed!

The Historic Preservation Ordinance passed at City Council on June 11! This is a HUGE deal for property owners and the City of Chillicothe. By passing this ordinance, Chillicothe is now eligible for grants through the State Historic Preservation Office for preservation planning, building renovations and more. This ordinance will:

  • Help Increase Property Values
  • Protect Historic Resources
  • Promote Economic Development in Chillicothe
  • Increase Tourism
  • Promote Historic Preservation Ethic
  • Provide Technical Assistance

Thanks for the City of Chillicothe and Downtown building owners for coming together to make this happen!

Farm to Table a Success

Main Street Chillicothe, in partnership with the Chillicothe Farmers Market and Uprooted Kitchen, held the second annual Farm-to-Table Awards Banquet Fundraiser on June 22nd on Webster Street in front of Silver Moon Plaza. Guests were treated to an all locally grown meal, catered by Uprooted Kitchen with Silver Moon Plaza serving as the backdrop for a beautiful evening.

Downtown Awards were given to supporters of the organization, businesses that have had a positive impact on downtown Chillicothe and for significant projects. Congratulations to all of the award winners and thank you for making downtown Chillicothe a great place to live, work, play, and visit!
