October Wine Walk
October 2, 2020
Chillicothe, MO

Main Street Chillicothe will be hosting their fall Wine Walk on October 2, 2020, in beautiful Downtown Chillicothe. The following changes have been made due to Main Street wanting to provide a couple of hours entertainment and keep everyone safe. Main Street has been in consultation with our local health professionals and the following of updated CDC guidelines.
First and foremost, stay home if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, cough, or gastro-intestinal issues. And certainly do not attend the event if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or had direct contact with an individual diagnosed with or suspected to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
We strongly encourage the wearing of Face Masks and ask that you bring your own or we will supply them at registration desk. Wear them going into merchant's businesses, as well as being around others not in your group, and the practicing of social distancing of 6 feet needs to be adhered to.
Reservation sales are being limited to the first 150 people. Tickets will be sold on line through https://www.eventbrite.com/e/main-street-chillicothe-october-wine-walk-tickets-120025644935 starting on Tuesday, September 8. Cost is reduced to $15.00 per person. There will be NO TICKETS sold the night of the event as we do not wish to handle money or plastic cards. Another option would be to call the Main Street office at 660-646-4071 where we will be able to take your payment using your debit or credit card over the phone. Wine Walk begins at 5:00 p.m. and goes to 7 p.m. People will come to the front of the Chamber Building at 504 Washington Street. They will be given a wrist band so that merchants know who they will be able to serve to, as well as a map showing merchants and the wine they will be serving.
Our downtown merchants are wonderful and there are 15 that will be hosting you. Main Street will also have a Mystery Pour or Two. Wine will be pre-poured using disposable plastic cups at the participating merchants. There will be no wine glasses at the registration desk as has been in the past. Most of the merchants have chosen not to serve a food, and for those who do, they will be put in prepackaged containers or served to the participants. Hy-Vee Grill will be set up on Webster Street to sell hot dogs and hamburgers. Participating merchants are: Shooter's Taproom; Martin House on Main; Country Craft and Antique Mall; SALTY HIPPO; Cliftons; Lauhoff Jeweler; K&M Popcorn; Bachman's Farm Store; Sensenich Jewelers; Coconut Grove; Beemer's; PC Elkhorn Steakhouse; Robertson's Insurance Services (RIS); Cultural Corner Art Guild and The SIP. Thank you to these merchants for wanting to provide some long overdue entertainment.
There will be no band providing a free concert. SoulRoot has been rescheduled for May of 20201. The main member of the band came down with COVID-19 himself and was quite ill. Also advisement from County Health that Silver Moon Plaza is not conducive to social distancing of 6' apart for large groups. Adam Mast will be playing music from Silver Moon Plaza and Jersey's Sports Grill will be selling beer products inside the Archway of the Plaza.
Before making the decision to have this event, a lot of thought and consultations went into deciding what to do. Please be patient with us on this decision until one day we can get back to the kind of wine walks Main Street Chillicothe has hosted in the past. Remember only 150 reservations will be made for this event. As of 9-17-2020, 121 have been sold. They are going fast.
