Memory Tree Lighting & Dedication

Last Updated 11/12/2024

Main Street Chillicothe invites the community to gather for a cherished tradition at our annual Memory Tree Dedication and Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at Silver Moon Plaza. This special event offers an opportunity for residents to honor and remember loved ones during the holiday season.

The Memory Tree Dedication allows individuals to dedicate an ornament in memory of family members, friends, or anyone dear to their hearts. Ornaments will be placed on the tree prior to the event. The ceremony will include music, a formal dedication of the tree, the reading of names, and the lighting of the Memory Tree. These ornaments will remain on the tree throughout the holiday season, serving as a beautiful reminder of those we have lost. After the holiday season, ornaments will be available for pickup at the Main Street office once the tree is taken down.

If you would like your loved one to be memorialized on this year’s tree, please contact Main Street Chillicothe at 660-646-4071 or via email at [email protected] for more information. Ornaments are available for $10 each or 3 for $25, and can be purchased online at www.downtownchilli.com/products/memory-tree-ornament.

We encourage everyone in the community to join us for this meaningful event. Whether dedicating an ornament or simply attending to share in the moment, the Memory Tree Dedication and Lighting Ceremony brings a warm sense of connection and reflection during the holiday season.
