đź‘˝Greetings Earthlings, we have come to deliver a ✨Downtown Spotlight✨ directly to your feed!đź‘˝
This week the spotlight is on Scott Trotter with AREA 54!

An interesting fact about Area 54?
Turns out, Scott Trotter “accidentally” owns the largest laser tag arena in Missouri—by about 3,000 square feet. 🤯 At 9,200 square feet of playable space, Area 54 isn’t just big; it’s an immersive experience. But what really sets it apart is the lightweight, realistic equipment that reinvents laser tag, making it feel more like a real-life video game. 🎮 Scott’s goal? To turn this hidden gem into a must-visit destination for laser tag fans from all over.

Something he can’t live without at work?
Literally—the laser tag key. 🔑 Without it, the whole operation shuts down. Figuratively—his family, especially his daughter, who makes a mean rolled ice cream 🍦 and would be the manager if child labor laws weren’t a thing.

Unusual talents or interests?
Scott is a surprisingly solid beatboxer 🎵 and hand drummer, but only when he’s feeling bold enough to show off. He also thrives on deep, meaningful conversations—small talk makes him antsy. If you’ve got an interesting fact or a wild theory, he’s all ears.

The story behind the name?
Inspired by the infamous Area 51 👽, Scott wanted a name in the same mysterious ballpark but with a personal twist. “Area 54” is a nod to his old basketball number and just so happens to be the exit number from Kansas City to Chillicothe. Coincidence? Maybe. But for a guy who loves a good conspiracy, it was meant to be.

What instantly makes Scott’s day better?
It all starts with family—seeing his wife and kids in the morning is a solid way to kick things off. ❤️ At work, it’s the staff. Their enthusiasm sparks creativity, and their ideas help make Area 54 even better. But the real magic? The customers. Watching their eyes light up when they step into the arena, hearing the excited chatter mid-game, and witnessing the post-battle bragging sessions—it never gets old!
