Painting The Town With Toasty - A Colorful Adventure!

Last Updated 9/12/2024

The inner artists were unleashed as Main Street Chillicothe's spirited student volunteer group, the Main-iacs, proudly presented their latest masterpiece: the interactive mural "Toasty's Journey." This vibrant community project was unveiled on Sliced Bread Day on June 29th and delivered a colorful adventure for all ages!

Imagine taking your love for coloring beyond the confines of a book and onto a massive canvas! The Main-iacs have created a 4-foot-high, 16-foot-long mural that invites everyone to add their personal touch. "Toasty's Journey" features our beloved sliced bread character Toasty embarking on thrilling escapades throughout Chillicothe, from the exhilarating water slide at Chilli Bay to the iconic rocket slide at Simpson Park. With a spectrum of colors at their disposal, the possibilities for creativity were endless.

Community members gathered to bring Toasty's adventures to life, transforming the mural into a kaleidoscope of colors. This interactive art piece will travel around town, offering multiple opportunities to view and participate in its evolution. Be on the lookout for the mural's appearances at various locations—perfect for snapping a photo of your artistic contribution! Don't forget to share your colorful creations with the hashtag # Toasty'sJourney.

A special thank you to the Main-iacs team that helped bring Toasty's adventure to life. Team members include: Ericka Kroll, Zoey Warren, Nora Washburne, Martin Moore, Ava Lance, and Myra Englert.

The Main-iacs, a dynamic group of students passionate about their community, have outdone themselves with this initiative. Their enthusiasm and creativity are infectious, making a significant impact on Main Street Chillicothe. And this is just the beginning! The Main-iacs have many more exciting projects in the pipeline, each designed to engage and uplift our community.

Main Street Chillicothe is thrilled to support these young visionaries as they leave their vibrant mark on our town. Join us in celebrating "Toasty's Journey" and the incredible talent of our local artists. Stay tuned for more amazing initiatives from the Main-iacs!
