Downtown Spotlight
Our downtown is an amazing place to eat, work, play and stay thanks to the dedicated community members that are leaving their mark. Now, it’s time to stand up and be recognized.

This week we are recognizing our Main Street Chillicothe board secretary Angie Harding Lauhoff!

What is your favorite downtown mural?
Angie adores the library mural. Why? Because it combines her love of art with her passion for reading! As she says, “The more you read, the stronger it makes your mind.” Strong minds and beautiful murals? Angie knows what’s up!

Do you have pets?
Oh, she’s got a crew! Meet Mosi and Nipsey Russell, her two feline companions, and Morty, her lovable dog. These fur babies aren’t just pets; they’re her coworkers. Nipsey and Morty are regulars at the jewelry store—so stop by and say hi to the unofficial pawfessional greeters.

What are your talents or interests?
Angie’s talent roster is as eclectic as her bookshelf. She’s a theater enthusiast and community performer, has a green thumb (seriously, her plants are thriving), and is an expert in calligraphy—including the niche art of writing in cursive backwards. How’s that for impressive?

What can make your day instantly better?
Her children and grandson. No matter the day, they’re her ultimate mood boosters.

Favorite Sliced Bread Sandwich?
It’s the Hammie from The Parlor Bakery & Cafe! Angie swears by the arugula—it’s the secret to sandwich bliss.

Favorite Main Street Event?
The Spring Wine Walk! Between the wine and the camaraderie, it’s Angie’s ultimate downtown experience.
