Founded in 0 In 1937 the building that is now the skating rink was originally a garage for the Leeper Hotel. It was connected to a five-story annex that was added onto the original hotel for additional rooms and space. The annex sat on what is now the rink parking lot and was torn down in 1982. During that time, the owner of the hotel had plans to convert the garage into a roller skating rink. The rink has changed names and ownership over the years from Disco Skate Center, Family Skate Center, My Skating Rink, and now Skate-O-Rama. In 2016, the rink was sold to Darren and Liv Lauhoff. The rink has been revamped with new lights, classic arcade games, and a resurfaced skating area for the ultimate skating experience!
