This week the spotlight is on Maggie Moore with the Lillian DesMarias Youth Library! First thing's first, congratulations on being been selected for the 2024-2025 cohort of the Association of Rural and Small Libraries Leadership Institute!

Don’t forget to follow the youth library on all of their socials to stay updated on everything that they’re doing! Facebook: Lillian DesMarias Youth Library Instagram: ldylreads!

What do you do for fun?

She makes everything fun! Whatever she's up to, it's going to be a good time. Whether it's hanging out with friends or family, laughing around the table is a must! Her house is the go-to spot for her kids and their friends. Dinner, jokes, and guaranteed good vibes!

What keeps you excited and motivated?

She's all about hyping others up! Watching people succeed and get excited fuels her energy. She's the ultimate cheerleader, and her co-workers totally back her up on that!

What's your favorite downtown mural?

Hands down, the bookshelf mural by the library! It was the first one she noticed when she moved here in 2016, and as a family that values reading, it holds a special place in her heart. Plus, the library was a regular stop for her and the kids back in the day!

Favorite sliced bread sandwich?

The classic club sandwich —you can't go wrong! And let’s not forget the pickles on the side —because they’re essential.
