Giving the Gift of a Google Review
Are you wanting to support your favorite downtown business? By submitting a five-star Google review along with a brief message, you can support your favorite downtown business in a free and easy way. Leaving a positive review can seem like a small gesture of support but makes a significant difference. By obtaining more reviews, this increases the business’s SEO (search engine optimization). This means that when searching for a product relevant to that business, that business will be displayed towards the top of the search.
Over the holiday season, Main Street Chillicothe created a “5 for 5” challenge on their social media platforms. The goal was to boost business’s SOE by encouraging the community to leave positive reviews on their favorite downtown business. The contest ran from December 17th, 2023, to December 22nd, 2023. Contestants were instructed to leave a five-star review with comments on five different local businesses. Those who completed the challenge had the opportunity to win a gift basket from Main Street Chillicothe. The winner of the challenge was Emmy Paden. Although the contest is over, we continue to encourage individuals to leave positive reviews on local businesses.
To further support local businesses, Main Street Chillicothe is running a new segment on social media called “Business Spotlight”. Business owners or staff will be featured each week. This provides an opportunity for individuals to get to know each business owner or staff member. The goal is to make shopping personal by introducing the owner(s) or staff.
Main Street Chillicothe website is now live. The new website features a directory page which will showcase all downtown businesses. We are still populating pages, so please be patient with our progress. Each business will include a picture of the business, address, a short description of the business, and a button to a Facebook page or website. Main Street Chillicothe is excited to showcase all downtown businesses and provide continual support through the website for the downtown businesses.
