Downtown Clean Up Day

Last Updated 9/12/2024

With spring bringing new flowers and warmer weather, it was long overdue to shake off those winter blues. It was time for the always fun task of spring cleaning for the downtown area!  On April 30th, 2024, Main Street Chillicothe hosted a Downtown Cleanup Day. Putting their gloves on, volunteers of all ages eagerly took to the downtown square to give it a fresh new look by picking up trash, pulling weeds, mulching trees, cleaning up sidewalks, and blowing out debris from bushes.

Main Street Chillicothe is dedicated to maintaining the beautiful downtown area so that it can be a space that community members can be proud of. For this reason, we continue to uphold its natural beauty by making sure that the area is clean and inviting. Cleaning the space that we all share by making it a desirable place to live and work can provide a refreshing reset, spark new motivation, and create a feeling of pride for our community.

A special thank you to the volunteers who dedicated their time. Diana Havens, Andrea Leakey, Chuck Erke, Steve Franke, Kay Kissisk, Nancy Figg, Amy Jackson, Jeremiah Leonard, Hannah Leonard, Carter Shippers, Josiah Howe, Helena England, Anna Prung, Martin Moore, Zoey Warren, Ericka Kroll, and Addison Oliver. These volunteers have graciously dedicated their time and resources to cleaning up the downtown area, making it a vibrant and welcoming place for community members and visitors to enjoy.
