Downtown Spotlight!

Meet Nancy Figg, the queen of all things vintage and fabulous, and the proud owner of Country Corner Craft & Antique Mall. If you haven’t explored her store yet, prepare for a delightful mix of nostalgia, charm, and some good old-fashioned treasure hunting.

 Do you collect anything?
Does the Pope wear a hat? Of course, Nancy collects things—she owns an antique store, after all! Her personal stash includes Blue pottery, December angel figures (because, obviously, December is the best month), and stunning paintings by Robert Atkinson Fox. She’s not just running a store—she’s living her collector’s dream.

What keeps you excited and motivated?
For Nancy, it’s all about the thrill of the hunt. When a customer walks in with a very specific request, Nancy doesn’t just help; she delivers. (Sometimes up to five options, because she’s that good.) Plus, with styles and seasons always changing, she loves keeping things fresh—and she’s here to make sure you never leave her store empty-handed.

What’s your favorite Sliced Bread sandwich?
Nancy’s got a soft spot for Boji Stone (and honestly, same). She’s torn between their creamy pimento grilled cheese and the mouthwatering harvest turkey melt. Either way, it’s a win—and a delicious one at that.

What’s something about your store that most people wouldn’t know?
Here’s the tea: Country Corner Craft & Antique Mall isn’t just antiques—it’s a little bit of everything. Think locally made Yellow Creek candles, over 2,000 comics, 500+ vinyl records, and shelves stacked with books (some dating back to the early 1900s). There’s old, there’s new, and there’s definitely something for you.
