✨Downtown Spotlight✨
After spending 26 years in nursing, Michelle Pegelow decided it was time for a change. Her passion for health and wellness led her to start JEM Aesthetics, a business focused on helping others feel their best—inside and out.

What’s something most people don’t know about your business?
Michelle actually started her aesthetics journey in 2023 by offering in-home visits 🏡—something she still provides today. She especially enjoys the mobile visits, calling them a welcome “change of sensory” that keeps her days fresh and interesting.

What keeps you excited and motivated?
One word: Learning 📚. Michelle is energized by the constant evolution of the health and wellness industry. She's always seeking new knowledge to make sure her clients receive the best care possible.

What’s the inspiration behind the name “JEM Aesthetics”?
The name JEM stands for Jessica, Elijah, and Michelle—her daughter, her grandson, and of course, herself 💖. It’s a meaningful nod to the people who inspire her most.

If you could go back and give yourself advice on the first day, what would it be?
“Have an understanding of the business side.” Michelle’s background in nursing gave her a solid foundation for patient care, but navigating entrepreneurship came with its own learning curve.

What instantly makes your day better?
Seeing her clients smile 😊—whether it's after a treatment or just from a good conversation. “It could be anything,” Michelle says. “I just love making them happy.”

What’s something random you can’t live without at work?
Her go-to pick-me-up? A cold Starry soda 🥤! It’s a small thing, but it keeps her going.

Next time you’re downtown, be sure to check out JEM Aesthetics and say hello to Michelle—she’s passionate, driven, and ready to help you shine ✨.
