Second Saturdays in Chillicothe Begin

Last Updated 9/30/2025

Chillicothe, MO – September 30, 2025 – Downtown Chillicothe was full of energy on Saturday, September 13, as the community came together for our all new 2nd Saturday, a monthly initiative designed to offer more to both residents and visitors. Each month brings a new reason to gather, explore, and celebrate what makes our town so special. September’s theme, Tailgating, highlighted local sports, music, and community pride with activities taking place throughout the day.

The celebration began with an expanded Farmers Market at the Courthouse Square, featuring fresh produce, baked goods, unique finds, and live music by Tim Leland. Silver Moon Plaza served as a hub of excitement, welcoming local teams and groups including the CHS Women’s Tennis team, the CHS Marching Band, the CHS Men’s Soccer team, the CHS Cheer Squad, and the YMCA Aerial Angels. Guests also enjoyed a relaxing yoga session led by Cori Gabel, creating a moment of calm in the afternoon sun.

Festivities continued across downtown with free hop-on, hop-off trolley rides, sponsored by BTC Bank, giving attendees a fun way to explore. Second Saturday Bingo added an interactive twist, inviting participants to visit businesses, complete challenges, and experience more of what Chillicothe has to offer. Shops and restaurants joined in the spirit with one-day promotions, specials, and unique offerings, making the day a strong one for local shopping and dining. The evening closed on a high note with a lively Kricket Alley concert at Blackwater.

Main Street Chillicothe extends heartfelt thanks to all participants, businesses, sponsors, and volunteers whose support made September’s 2nd Saturday a wonderful success.

Looking ahead, the excitement continues with October’s 2nd Saturday. The community can expect plenty of spooky fall fun and a festive Halloween atmosphere. The weekend begins with the Fall Brew Crawl on Friday, October 10, with tickets available now at www.downtownchilli.com. On Saturday, October 11, the celebration grows with an extended Farmers Market, trolley rides, music, shopping promotions, and the debut of the Boo’tique Crawl. Costumes are encouraged, and we look forward to another weekend filled with community spirit and seasonal fun.

We are proud of Chillicothe and grateful to everyone who makes these events possible. Together, we continue to make downtown the place to be every Second Saturday.
