Then and Now #17 - The Elk's Lodge

📍 The Elk's Lodge, located at 517 Elm Street 🦌, at the corner of Elm and Jackson Street 🛣️, was built in 1909 🏗️. The local chapter of the Elks hosted meetings out of the building between 1910s and the 1930s 📆 when membership dropped 📉 and the building was foreclosed upon 🏚️. Until the 1960s the building was split between office spaces 💼 and apartments 🏠. From the 1960s till the early 2000s the whole building was an apartment complex 🛏️🏢. Since then, the building has remained mostly vacant.🚪
