Downtown Spotlight
This week the spotlight is on Emmy Paden with the Strand Hotel Apartments!
Emmy Paden is a familiar face in downtown Chillicothe, managing both The Strand and Zabka Properties. Whether she's helping someone find a place to call home or making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes, Emmy brings a warm, personal touch to everything she does.

Do you collect anything?
Yes! Emmy is a proud and passionate Harry Potter fan and has an impressive collection of themed trinkets and treasures to prove it. She also has a growing group of Grogu figures (from The Mandalorian) that live in her office. They add a bit of fun and keep her company throughout the workday.

Who inspires you?
Her biggest inspiration comes from her family. Emmy has two children—a son and a daughter—as well as a daughter-in-law whom she lovingly calls her “daughter in-love.” Together, they’ve given her four grandchildren who keep her active, laughing, and always on her toes.

Do you have any pets?
She shares her home with two feline friends, Lily and Luna, who no doubt approve of her Harry Potter fandom.

What keeps you excited and motivated?
In her role as a property manager, Emmy is most energized by helping others. It’s not just about finding people a place to live—it’s about showing up for them in meaningful ways. She takes pride in being someone her tenants and community can count on, especially in times of need.

What’s your favorite Sliced Bread sandwich?
Emmy is a fan of the classic fried bologna sandwich—with lettuce, onion, and mayo. A simple favorite with timeless flavor!
