Downtown Spotlight
This week the spotlight is on Jodi Moore with Lillian DesMarias Youth Library!
Jodi has been part of the library team for over 16 years. She started out shelving books and has worked her way up to Youth Services Coordinator, where she now helps lead youth programming and supports young readers every day.

What keeps you excited and motivated?
The children who visit the library keep her going. Seeing kids come in looking for a specific book and being able to connect them with it makes every day special.

What book are you currently reading?
The Last Letter by Rebecca Yarros. (We see you, fellow bookworms!)

What is your favorite Sliced Bread sandwich?
A classic grilled cheese, paired with tomato soup. It’s a comforting combo that brings her back to childhood. Shout out to Boji Stone—Jodi says your grilled cheese are AMAZING (and we totally agree)!

What is your go-to music genre?
She’s an equal opportunity listener—whether it’s Reba or Breaking Benjamin, she’s down to vibe with it all.

What is something about the library that some people might not know?
The library now offers a food pantry located outside on the backside of the building, helping serve those in need around the clock. Recently, their Feed the Funnel event brought together more than 100 volunteers from businesses, banks, and the community to pack meals and make a big impact.

What is your favorite downtown store?
Jodi is a big fan of The Charmed Nook and all the fun things you can find there.
