Then and Now #24 - P. Kirby Building
π The P. Kirby Building located at 609 Webster Street was originally constructed around 1900 ποΈ. It is seemingly the second building on the site to be called the P. Kirby Building π. Around 1891 the building on the site was listed as the P. Kirby Saloon π». That original building was later replaced with the current one standing on the site π§±. A number of businesses have occupied the space πͺ, primarily saloons πΊ, cafΓ©s β, and restaurants π½οΈ. The structure itself has a beautifully designed cornice π with detailed brickwork 𧱠and cast-iron ornamentation βοΈ. All of this gives the building a unique character on the block β¨.
