Downtown Spotlight
This week the spotlight is on the one and only Crystal Narr with the Chillicothe Area Chamber!
If you’ve spent any time in Chillicothe, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Crystal Narr! With nearly 20 years of nonprofit service under her belt, Crystal has spent her career giving back to the town that raised her (and now raises her kids).

Do you have any pets?
Do you have a zoo permit? Crystal’s home is basically a barnyard paradise. She’s got three dogs (Ana, Rip, and Bonnie), three cats (Ike, Ash, and Camo), three horses (Stormy, Abby, and Baby), one miniature donkey named Trashy, nineteen chickens, a few dozen head of Black Angus cattle, and—drumroll—a three-legged toad named Stumpy (courtesy of a weed-eater mishap).

What inspires you?
Crystal admits it might sound cliché, but she’s driven by a desire “to leave the world better than I found it.” Whether it’s creating a core memory, helping someone in need, or just making someone smile, Crystal is all about the good stuff.

What’s something most people don’t know about your business?
The Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce has been around for 114 years! That’s right—established in 1911 and still rockin’ and rollin’.

Any unusual talents or interests?
She can hum and whistle at the same time. (We don’t know how useful that is in a meeting, but we’re definitely impressed.)

Would you survive a zombie apocalypse?
Nope. Not without her husband.

What’s your proudest accomplishment as a business owner?
Spending nearly two decades supporting and growing the Chillicothe community through her leadership roles at both Main Street Chillicothe and the Chamber is something she holds dear. It’s not just a job—it’s a passion project that continues to shape the place she calls home.
